WALNUT CREEK, CA--(Marketwire - May 1, 2009) - American Reprographics Company (NYSE : ARP ), the nation's leading provider of reprographics services and
technology, today announced the availability of a new version of PlanWell
EasyPrint™ that integrates seamlessly into Océ print devices including
the new Océ PlotWave®300 system. The new software is being demonstrated
at the International Reprographics Association Conference and Tradeshow in
Pittsburgh, PA.
The PlanWell EasyPrint application allows users to login to PlanWell
Enterprise™ online planrooms directly from a printer's on-board touch
screen. Once logged in, documents can be selected, viewed, assembled into
a set and printed immediately on the printer via an interface and
step-by-step workflow similar to a bank's automated teller machine (ATM).
This makes printed documents immediately available in any location and
provides convenient access to plan sets for project trailers, remote
offices and other on-site service installations.
Through a partnership with Océ, the PlanWell EasyPrint application is
integrated directly with the Océ PowerLogic® controller user interface,
and is available for the Océ PlotWave®300 system, Océ TDS450, and Océ
TDS700 printers.
"Coupling a printer and an online planroom where documents are stored
creates a powerful on-demand system for acquiring prints at a moment's
notice, regardless of location," said Jon Styrlund, product manager for
PlanWell EasyPrint. "While the application has been available on other
devices for some time, we expect even wider adoption by combining it with
some of Océ's best and most popular equipment."
"Océ is pleased to announce support for PlanWell EasyPrint," said Sal
Sheikh, Vice President, Marketing, Wide Format Printing Systems division of
Océ North America. "With ARC's innovative software, AEC customers now have
the ability to print directly to a local Océ printer from the ARC online
planroom, saving the time and cost associated with printing documents at a
central location and shipping them to a job site."
