University of Denver Links Off-Campus Facility With Exalt
Reliable, High-Speed Microwave Radio System Connects Remote Office to Main Campus Network

CAMPBELL, CA--(Marketwire - May 12, 2009) - Exalt
Communications, the company that is reinventing microwave backhaul,
announced today that the University of Denver has deployed its EX-5r-c system to
create a fast and reliable connection between the main campus and a remote
office 1.2 miles away. The all-outdoor, weatherproof radio system delivers
100 Mbps of Ethernet data along with four T1 lines, and it can be upgraded
to 200 Mbps of Ethernet with a simple software upgrade.
When approximately 50 employees of the University Advancement Group
relocated to space leased five miles away from campus, the IT department
wanted to give the team access to campus-based files and servers, as well
as the school's ERP system, without sacrificing the performance they
enjoyed previously on the campus' Gigabit Ethernet network. After
evaluating several systems, the university chose Exalt's EX-5r-c system.

The EX-5r-c system
can operate in any of the three license-exempt 5 GHz frequency bands (5.3,
5.4 and 5.8 GHz), allowing access to 600 MHz of spectrum in a single radio
unit. Since there were no delays associated with obtaining an FCC license,
the system was deployed in just two days.

fees of leased line connections or the high construction costs of new
