Orion Marine Group Announces a Contract Award of Approximately $10 Million


HOUSTON, May 19, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Orion Marine Group, Inc. (NYSE:ORN) (the "Company"), a leading heavy civil marine contractor serving the infrastructure sector, today announced a contract award of approximately $10 million.

Orion Marine Group's wholly owned subsidiary, Misener Marine Construction, Inc. was recently awarded a contract by a private customer to build a new pier in North Carolina. The project consists of constructing a new 1,200 linear foot pier that extends into the Atlantic Ocean on twenty-four inch concrete foundation piling.

Onsite construction of the project is expected to commence during the third quarter of 2009 and last approximately 12 months.
