Bengt Kjell leaves Kungsleden's Board

The Chairman of the Board of listed Swedish property company Kungsleden AB
(publ) has taken the initiative to request to leave Kungsleden's Board. Mr.
Kjell has kept the Nomination Committee and other Board members informed of his
plans to take on other commitments in the property sector, and accordingly, his
intention to leave his position by the AGM 2010 at the latest. Mr. Kjell has now
decided to bring forward his reported departure, and accordingly, is leaving his
position as of 21 May 2009.


The Board has initiated a process to appoint a new Chairman internally as soon
as possible.

Kungsleden's strategy is to ensure sustainable high and stable returns
proceeding from its existing holding, and through acquisitions and divestments.
As of 31 March 2009, the property portfolio comprised 596 properties with a book
value of SEK 28.6 bn. The holding was located in a total of 132 municipalities,
although concentrated on the Swedish provinces of Götaland and Svealand, and the
Öresund region. Kungsleden has been quoted on the OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm
since 1999.
