Former U.S. Pacific Commander Expands Military Expertise on AtHoc Board to Support Critical Department of Defense and Homeland Defense Operations


SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - May 27, 2009) - AtHoc, Inc., the pioneer and leader in network-centric emergency notification systems, today announced the appointment of Admiral Thomas B. Fargo, USN (Ret.), former Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, to the company's board of directors.

Admiral Fargo has been part of the AtHoc team since late 2007, serving as a member of the company's strategic advisory board. With the appointment to the AtHoc board of directors, Admiral Fargo broadens his role by working with the AtHoc executive team and fellow board members to help set the company's business strategy.

As the former senior U.S. military commander in East Asia, the Pacific and Indian Ocean, Admiral Fargo led the largest unified command while directing the joint operations of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force. He will offer valuable insight across the entire range of AtHoc's business opportunities.

Admiral Fargo retired from the military on March 28, 2005, after a distinguished career serving the U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense. He was the 20th officer to hold the position of Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command. He was responsible to the President and the Secretary of Defense and was the U.S. military representative for collective defense arrangements in the Pacific.
