network-centric emergency
notification systems, today announced the appointment of Admiral Thomas
B. Fargo, USN (Ret.), former Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, to the
company's board of directors.
Admiral Fargo has been part of the AtHoc team since late 2007, serving as a
member of the company's strategic advisory board. With the appointment to
the AtHoc board of directors, Admiral Fargo broadens his role by working
with the AtHoc executive team and fellow board members to help set the
company's business strategy.
"After serving as an AtHoc advisor for nearly two years, I welcome the
opportunity to extend my role and work with the AtHoc board to help align
the company with the military's evolving and expanding needs for emergency
notification capabilities," said Admiral Fargo. "As a past naval commander,
I have a vested interest in helping my former colleagues prepare for
critical missions and emergency operations. I look forward to serving on
the AtHoc board and helping address current Department of Defense,
government agency and first responder community needs while also adding
value for AtHoc."

Defense. He was the 20th officer to hold the position of Commander of the
U.S. Pacific Command. He was responsible to the President and the Secretary
of Defense and was the U.S. military representative for collective defense
arrangements in the Pacific.
"It's an honor to welcome a leader of the caliber of Admiral Fargo to our
board," said Guy Miasnik, president and CEO of AtHoc. "Admiral Fargo's
