Lysaker, 27 May 2009 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): Price decrease in Mid- and North-Norway In week 21 price levels in the three Norwegian elspot areas were the same in over tree fourths of the week. The price difference between South- and Mid-Norway averaged only 5 kr/MWh. The price in South-Norway was the same as the previous week, 302 kr/MWh. The price in Mid- and North-Norway fell by 6 and 5 kroner respectively to 307 and 306 kr/MWh. At the end of week 21 the water level in Norwegian reservoirs was 43.1 percentage. That is 1.6 percentage points lower than the median level for the week.
