About the Author

Patrice Courson was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and is the offspring of parents who raised her in a middle-class neighborhood of the Nation's Capital. Infatuated with classic movies and reading fiction as a teenager, she regales her readers with a semi-autobiographical account of her experiences as a young woman who falls in love with a young man whom her family does not consider suitable. Her triumph over adversity is the source of her inspirational work. Besides trying her hand at writing fiction, Ms. Courson is also an accomplished artist specializing in oil painting and is a self-taught computer programmer who enjoys motorcycles.
