Theocracy Throughout the Ages: Victory or Catastrophe? -- New Book Details Historical Mishaps When Church Controls Civic Events

FRAZIER PARK, Calif., June 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Although clearly defined in the First Amendment, the concept of "separation of the church and state" still hangs as a controversy throughout the nation. As other citizens continue to live their lives uncontrolled by the church, other Christian Right zealot-leaders continue launching their crusade to substitute biblical beliefs and influence over schools, government, and institution of human society -- replacing the United States constitution with theocracy. Author Richard Olsen enumerates the negative effects of theocracy as proven by history in his thought-provoking book, Disciples of the Inquisition Versus the First Amendment.

"If the Christian Right zealots succeed, the wall of separation between church and state will disappear, the Constitution ignored, and theocracy will reign," as stated by Olsen. "If the Christian Right prevails, schools will teach nothing in conflict with the Bible, particularly theories of origin of the universe and origin of life."

This book clearly enumerates Christianity's long history of crimes against humanity, extending back nearly two thousand years. As observed, religious interference in secular matters resulted in a cruel, authoritative control over population with little regard for rights of the individual -- testifying to the evils of theocracy. Publication of the "torture memos" documents what can happen when religious radicals gain control of government.

Thought provoking and awakening, Disciples of the Inquisition Versus the First Amendment intends to educate the general public that the Christian Right's attempt to impose their religious beliefs on the nation via political action will not benefit the Nation.
