SANTA CLARA, CA and TOKYO--(Marketwire - June 10, 2009) - Stoke, Inc.
(http://www.stoke.com), a provider of mobile broadband multi-access
gateways, and Net One Systems Co., Ltd., Japan's leading networking and
systems integration provider, today announced they have been selected by
NTT DOCOMO Inc. for their commercial service.
Japan represents one of the most technically advanced communications
markets in the world, with leading edge mobile service offerings and a
subscriber base in excess of 105 million. The new infrastructure will allow
NTT DOCOMO to provide improved service and expand accessibility for users.
The solution will enhance NTT DOCOMO's ability to manage the increasing
mobile broadband traffic on their RAN and backhaul infrastructure.
The Stoke Session Exchange 3000 (SSX-3000) fulfilled most-to-least criteria
under an extensive technical requirement by NTT DOCOMO. Net One Systems,
Japan's leading networking and systems integration provider, identified the
SSX-3000 as the most suitable product on the market. The platform offers
significant improvements in price per megabit of throughput, energy-usage
reduction and operational savings.
"Net One Systems is continually seeking out and scrutinizing technologies
for introduction in the Japanese market," said Tomohiro Iwamoto, Executive
General Manager, Net One Systems. "Stoke has the most advanced architecture
and performance for next generation broadband gateways."
Vikash Varma, president and chief executive officer at Stoke, added,
"Stoke's products have been built on the all-IP based architecture for the
mobile broadband market. The decision by NTT DOCOMO marks a huge
endorsement of the SSX-3000 as the gateway of top-tier carriers' choice."
