Shares subscribed with the Outokumpu Oyj 2003C stock options and the increase in share capital

STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

Between April 29, 2009 and June 4, 2009 a total of 10 000 shares have
been subscribed for with the 2003C stock options (FI0009649412). As a
result of the share subscriptions the share capital of Outokumpu Oyj
has increased by EUR 17 000.00.

The increase in share capital has been entered into the Finnish trade
register on June 16, 2009 and the subscribed shares will be listed on
the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd and trading will commence along with the
old shares as of June 17, 2009.
