DISCLOSURE OF CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP OF MARIMEKKO CORPORATION PURSUANT TO THE      
SECURITIES MARKETS ACT, CHAPTER 2, PARAGRAPH 10                                 

Pursuant to the Securities Markets Act, Chapter 2, Paragraph 10, Marimekko      
Corporation (Business Identity Code 0111316-2) announces that it has today      
received the following notification:                                            

Fautor S.P.R.L.'s (90, Boulevard du Souverain, B-1170 Bruxelles) share of       
Marimekko Corporation's share capital and voting rights has fallen below 1/10,  
i.e. decreased to 0.00% as a result of a transaction concluded on 18 June 2009. 
After the transaction, Fautor S.P.R.L.'s share of Marimekko Corporation's share 
capital and voting rights is the following:

Marimekko Corporation has also been informed today that Semerca Investments     
S.A.'s (2, rue Carlo Hemmer, L-1734 Luxembourg) share of Marimekko Corporation's
share capital and voting rights has exceeded 1/10, i.e. increased to 10.58% as a
result of a transaction concluded on 18 June 2009. After the transaction,       
Semerca Investments S.A.'s share of Marimekko Corporation's share capital and   
voting rights is the following:

Marimekko Corporation has also been notified that Semerca Investments S.A. is   
Fautor S.P.R.L.'s parent company.

shares. Each share entitles to one vote.
