About the Author
Jennifer M. Garnatz was born in Lucea, Hanover, Jamaica, West Indies in September 1953. She grew up in Kingston, where she attended a Catholic boarding school. She composes songs, writes plays, short stories and novels, which she intends to publish one day. Her source of inspiration comes from her vivid imagination and personal experiences as well as happenings in the world. She performs poetry in English and German at various literary events, including at poetry slams and open mikes. In 1999, she represented Hamburg at the National Poetry Slam Team Competition in Weimar. In North America, she has performed in New York at Bar 13, Sugar Shack, St. Nick's Pub, and at the legendary Nuyorican Poets Cafe; in Chicago at the legendary The Green Mill Lounge, as well as in Toronto at A Different Booklist. In Jamaica, she has performed at various venues. She resides in Hamburg, Federal Republic of Germany.
