MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - July 27, 2009) - Adaptive Planning, the worldwide leader
in on-demand financial planning and reporting solutions for companies of
all sizes, today announced record results for the first half of 2009. The
company continued to grow rapidly, posting record bookings for 1H09 and
adding 291 new clients in the last twelve months, more than doubling its
customer base to over 520 active clients.
Adaptive Planning's exceptional value to customers has become even more
clear in light of the current economic conditions. Today's high level of
uncertainty increases the requirements for more frequent and accurate
planning and what-if analysis, better informed business decisions, and
greater corporate agility. At the same time, companies of all sizes have
become increasingly cost conscious. Adaptive Planning's affordable, quick
to implement and easy to use financial planning and reporting solution is
an ideal solution for this environment.
Recent Adaptive Planning clients range from pre-revenue start-ups to
multi-billion dollar corporations, and hail from numerous industries,
including the business services, healthcare, financial services,
manufacturing, nonprofit, pharmaceutical, and software sectors.
New customers included Catholic Charities USA, International Power America,
Jaspersoft, Orion HealthCorp, San Francisco Ballet, Teradyne and Xactly.
Strategic Partnerships
Of particular note as a major company milestone, Adaptive Planning signed
an agreement with NetSuite that significantly extends the company's
distribution capabilities. As announced in June, NetSuite will offer
Adaptive Planning's solution, including newly developed best-in-class
integration capabilities, as its Financial Planning Module which it will
make available to its base of 6,600 existing on-demand customers and new
prospects beginning in Q3 2009.
In addition, the company continued to strengthen relationships with other
industry leaders, including ADP, Intacct, and Intel. Over 200 firms in
North America, Europe, Asia and South America now work closely with
Adaptive Planning to drive joint marketing and sales activities and deliver
services.
New Product Introductions
In the first half of 2009, Adaptive Planning made several new product
introductions. In June, the company announced Adaptive Planning 6.0, a
major new product release that delivers powerful multi-dimensional planning
features and best-in-class integration with NetSuite. Concurrently,
Adaptive Planning introduced a groundbreaking new benchmarking initiative
that gives finance organizations access to previously unavailable
information, including both backward- and forward-looking comparative
metrics. Taken together, the new product features and benchmarking
initiative establish a new standard for today's business performance
management solutions, delivering comprehensive data and information that
allow companies of all sizes to make better, more agile business decisions
and enhance their overall competitiveness.
In February, Adaptive Planning introduced a rescue package for companies
adversely affected by Microsoft's announcement that they are discontinuing
sales and development of PerformancePoint, their financial planning
solution. The program features a 75 percent discount off Adaptive
Planning's subscription fees for Microsoft PerformancePoint and FRx
customers.
Adaptive Planning Version 5.5, announced in January, extended the
solution's leading collaboration features, delivered enhanced data
integration capabilities, and introduced language support for French,
German, Spanish, and Japanese. With that release, Adaptive Planning
continued to set the standard as the most powerful, easy to use, and
collaborative planning and reporting solution for companies of all sizes.
Awards and Recognition
In the first half of 2009 Adaptive Planning won several prestigious
industry awards for product innovation and overall company success,
including the Software and Information Industry Association's CODiE Award
for Best Business Intelligence Solution, the Red Herring 100 North American
award, and the Technosium Hot Company Award. The company was also the only
multi-tenant software as a service (SaaS) provider to be awarded Core
Vendor status by BPM Partners, a leading authority on business performance
management solutions.

Adaptive Planning continued to strengthen its experienced leadership team
with the appointment of Hamid Bahadori as Vice President of Engineering and
Hosted Operations. Bahadori has a long history of defining and delivering
world-class software in both traditional on-premise and hosted
