Superconductor Technologies Receives Nasdaq Staff Determination Regarding Noncompliance With Shareholder Approval Requirement


SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug. 5, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Superconductor Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:SCON), announced that on August 4, 2009 the Company received a Nasdaq Staff Determination Letter stating that the Nasdaq Staff has determined that the Company should have obtained stockholder approval of its recent public offering under Nasdaq's change of control rule (Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(b)) and requesting that the Company submit a compliance plan within 15 calendar days. The Company is in discussions with the Nasdaq Staff to resolve the issue.
