SOMERSET, NJ and CHATSWOOD, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwire - August 10, 2009) - AEP Networks, a leader in secure
communications and networking, has opened an office in Australia. Located
in Chatswood business district, just north of Sydney CBD, the Australian
presence will play a key role in the expansion of the company's partner
network in the area, as well as support the increasing number of Australian
customers.
Rodney Wilks, Sales Director, will head up the local team. With more than
15 years' experience working in the IT and Telecommunications industry,
Wilks will be responsible for fostering existing business relationships and
driving new sales in the growing Australian and New Zealand markets.
"AEP Networks -- and Vados Systems, acquired by AEP Networks last year --
have built an extensive partnership network across the Asia Pacific region
and we believe expanding our presence to include an Australia operation
will enable us to better serve our clients," commented Rodney Wilks, Sales
Director, Australia, AEP Networks.
According to analyst group Frost & Sullivan(1), the region's network
security market will grow 6.5 percent this year and, amidst pressure to
control capital expenditure and stretch every dollar, companies are more
likely to deploy the more affordable converged security solutions.
"Australia is a key market for AEP Networks. Our Australian team can give
businesses in the area the know-how and support required to successfully
adopt converged integrated solutions comprising our secure communications,
networking and application access products and enjoy the many
cost-reduction and productivity enhancement benefits that our products have
to offer," said Pat Donnellan, CEO of AEP Networks.
Known as AEP Networks, Ltd., the address for the new office is Chatswood
Village, Suite 55, 47 Neridah Street, Chatswood NSW 2067, Australia.
