Villingen-Schwenningen, 17 August 2009: NEXUS AG, Villingen Schwenningen,
listed in Prime Standard, improved its sales to KEUR 18,829 in the first
half year from KEUR 15,361 (+22.6%) and achieved a substantially better
EBTDA of KEUR 3,545 compared to KEUR 3,000 (+18.0%) in the previous year.
The result before taxes improved from KEUR 749 to KEUR 981 (+31.0%), and
the Group result improved by 20.8% from KEUR 703 to KEUR 849.
The second quarter closed with sales of KEUR 9,316 compared to KEUR 7,949
in the previous year (+17.2%) and an improved operating result before taxes
of KEUR 432 (previous year: 366).

Sales continued to show good news with an increase in the Healthcare
Software sector in the first six months, rising by approximately 27.1% to
KEUR 16,667 (previous year: KEUR 13,111).

The foreign share of Group sales was 35.7% in the first half year compared
to 36.2% in the previous year. The Healthcare Service Division recorded
sales of KEUR 2,162 in the first half year 2009 following KEUR 2,250
(-4.0%) in the first six months of the previous year.

The operative cash flow is approx. 108% higher than the previous year's
level at KEUR 3,608 (previous year: 1,733). As of 30 June 2009, the balance
sheet of the NEXUS AG showed cash on hand and securities worth 10.1 million
euros, against which there are no substantial financial liabilities. The
equity capital rate was 77.1%.


NEXUS develops and sells modular software solutions internationally for
healthcare systems in the areas of 'Clinical Information Systems' (CIS),
'Diagnostic Information Systems' (DIS) and 'IT Services'. Comprehensive
solutions for hospitals and psychiatric institutions are designed and
supported within NEXUS / CIS. The solutions of NEXUS / DIS cover special
ward and specialist areas for radiology, pathology as well as for
gynecology/obstetrics and intensive care medicine. NEXUS bets on modern,
modular software architecture in all product areas, which enables flexible
and step-by-step introduction of NEXUS systems.
More than 350 staff members in the NEXUS Group develop software solutions
for the healthcare sector, with which approximately 76,500 users in 17
countries work.
