NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 8, 2009) - Remarkable Theater Brigade, a not-for-profit
company, which was founded in 2002 by Christian McLeer, Monica Harte and
Dan Jesselsohn, has just announced that its 8th Season will be presented at
NYC's prestigious Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall on October 1, 2009 with Opera
Shorts. A set of 10-minute operas, Opera Shorts features composers Seymour
Barab, Ben Bierman, George Brunner, Tom Cipullo, Anne Phillips, Patrick
Soluri, Rob Voisey, and of course, Christian McLeer. Among the singers
performing, will be baritone Chris Trakas and tenors Robert White and Will

Dedicated to creating and presenting new works for theatrical performances
in New York City, RTB also takes children's versions of its productions to
special-needs and at-risk children for free. Over the past seven years, RTB
has performed for more than 50,000 children in over 50 locations.
Additionally, RTB brings shows to Mississippi for the Natchez Festival of
Music Educational Outreach Program, and has started a new Young Artist
Summer Training Program in NYC, dedicated to providing young artists with
incredible performance opportunities. Artists from Korea, Japan, India,
Canada, France and the U.S. have performed in the program, which has
already produced five concerts and an opera.
Composer Christian McLeer received his first commission at age 14; by the
time he was 25, Christian won numerous piano competitions, performed his
works at Carnegie, Steinway and Merkin Concert Halls and received over 20
commissions. He serves as RTB's Artistic Director.
Soprano, Monica Harte, has been touted internationally as a 'consummate

She can be heard singing the soprano solos on RTB's 2007 CD release of
McLeer's Requiem and is also featured on several CDs, including "Songs from
Another Place"; "Long Island Songs"; "The Tempest Project" and "Landsape
with Figures." She serves as RTB's General Director.
