Capcom Mobile Launches "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 2010" in Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the U.S. Franchise
| Source: Capcom Interactive
LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 10, 2009) - Capcom® Mobile, a leading developer and
publisher of mobile games, today announced the launch of "Who Wants To Be
A Millionaire 2010," on North American wireless carriers. For the latest
edition of the top-selling mobile series Capcom has incorporated the most
up-to-date show features including new lifelines and a game clock.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the 1999 launch of "Who Wants To Be
A Millionaire" in the U.S. Throughout the last decade, $133 million has
been won by hot seat contestants from both the original primetime show and
the syndicated show, which is hosted by Meredith Vieira. In honor of this
milestone anniversary, ABC brought back Regis Philbin to host an 11-episode
primetime series this August. The weekday version of the show premiered
its eighth season in syndication on Monday, September 7.
"Millionaire is a cultural phenomenon and we're thrilled to be part of this
historic 10TH anniversary celebration," said Midori Yuasa, President,
Capcom Interactive, Inc. "The franchise has been a huge part of our company
from the beginning, and we're excited to see what the next 10 years of
Millionaire will bring."
Like the hit show, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 2010" challenges players
to correctly answer 15 questions of progressive difficulty with the help of
four lifelines -- Ask the Audience, Phone a Friend, Double Dip and Ask the
Expert. Ten actual "Experts" from the show provide answers to the mobile
game's 1000 questions. Players can now see the subject categories of all
15 questions in each game, adding a new layer of strategy to lifelines.
Additionally, a game clock keeps the action fast and fun as contestants are
able to bank unused time for the million-dollar question.
"Who Wants To Be A Millionaire 2010" is currently available for download on
most North American carriers. Please visit www.capcommobile.com for
