Vestas has received an order for 60 units of the V82-1.65 MW wind turbine for a
wind power project located in Theni in the state of Tamil Nadu, South India.
The order has been placed by CLP, who is one of Vestas' long-term global
customers, with installations in both China and Australia. In India, CLP
currently owns and operates 100 MW of wind power and has around 245 MW under
construction in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat. In addition,
the company is operating a wholly owned gas-fired combined cycle power station
with a capacity of 655 MW and is building a 1,320 MW domestic coal-fired power
project at Jhajjar in Haryana, India.
The contract comprises supply and commissioning of the turbines, a VestasOnline®
Business SCADA system as well as a 10-year service and maintenance agreement.

Shipment of the turbines is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2009 with
expected commissioning to take place in January 2010.
