Windows must be purchased and installed during the 2009 or 2010 tax years.
The tax credit only applies to the purchase price of the windows and does
not include labor costs associated with removal of old windows or
installation of new windows.
Like all PGT windows, the Vinyl Series 400 and 500, and the SpectraGuard
2300 Series not only save homeowners money through tax credits, but also
lower energy bills by up to 15%. Impact windows and doors block up to 99%
of UV rays, resulting in reduced solar heat gain which translates into
lower cooling costs. Another important advantage of PGT Vinyl Windows is
their construction, designed to effectively insulate and protect homes from
natural elements. PGT products meet the most stringent code requirements
for hurricane-resistant windows, ensuring that the glass remains intact
after impact.
