DETROIT, MI--(Marketwire - September 30, 2009) - In his recent monthly radio broadcast on WVSN Industry Visions, Jim Newman, nationally recognized expert in energy conservation and green and sustainable construction, says, "The money earmarked for the American resource and recovery act will arrive in a huge number of American communities." When asked for a specific breakdown, Newman quoted seven different areas that would receive green stimulus money. State energy programs will be given $3.1 billion, low-income homes will receive weatherization assistance of up to $5 billion, energy efficiency and conservation block grants as well as energy conservation bonds will each receive $3.2 billion, assisted housing is gaining $1.76 billion, and green schools and federal buildings gaining $8.5 billion.
