"On October 5, BRCD released word it has put itself up for sale. According to several sources, there are at least two potential bidders, Hewlett-Packard and Oracle Corp. Hewlett-Packard has reportedly looked over BRCD's assets, but has not yet made a formal bid; Oracle executives did not release any comments or statements regarding the matter."
