AtNetPlus, Inc. Partner Jay Mellon Will Conduct COSE Small Business Conference Workshop

Jay Mellon to Speak at COSE Small Business Conference on October 21

STOW, OH--(Marketwire - October 7, 2009) - Information Technology company AtNetPlus, Inc. today announced that Partner Jay Mellon will conduct a workshop entitled "System Down - What to do when your technology fails" at the 2009 COSE Small Business Conference. The theme of the two day conference, which will be held at the Cleveland International Exposition Center on October 21 and 22, is 'We Learn. We Grow. Together.'

Mellon said, "I am excited to be a part of this great event. As a small business owner I know firsthand the value of learning from the experience of others. Too often, owner/managers are too busy doing everything for their company to recognize that getting help from an expert is ultimately the more efficient and less expensive solution."

"My workshop is designed to educate the COSE membership about the computer maintenance that they can manage themselves and when it's probably better to let the experts handle it. It's a fine line, but to be successful small business owners have to recognize the total cost of ownership for things like technology. It goes much deeper than writing a check when a computer crashes," he said.

Mellon continued, "Technology changes very quickly. Our goal is to help small and mid-sized businesses get the most from their computer systems. Some things they can do themselves, but to increase productivity and stay competitive they need to at least be aware of all of the options available to them. The money and time that small businesses can save from proper computer network management usually more than pays for the initial expense of outsourcing IT. Especially in today's economy, it all comes down to how to most effectively spend limited resources."

Megan Kim, Public Relations and Programs Director for The Council of Smaller Enterprises, noted, "This conference was developed for small businesses by small businesses as these individuals truly understand the many struggles of their peers and thus can identify the most valuable and beneficial workshop topics and speakers." She added, "We are pleased to have experts like Jay as a part of the conference to share his many experiences and knowledge to promote the success of other small businesses in Northeast Ohio."

Participants come to the event from an eight county area of northeast Ohio that includes: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit counties. The conference is an opportunity for small business owners and managers to network, and to learn about new products, services and trends. The "System Down - What to do when your technology fails" workshop led by Mellon takes place at 2:45 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2009.
