Borussia Dortmund and Artificial Life Launch the First Official Borussia Dortmund Mobile Game

LOS ANGELES, BERLIN and HONG KONG, Oct. 14, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Artificial Life, Inc. (OTCBB:ALIF), (http://www.artificial-life.com), and Borussia Dortmund today announced the recent launch of the first official mobile game for the well-known club from Dortmund, Germany. The game is already available on various portals of well-known mobile content providers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Borussia Dortmund (also known as BVB--Ballspiel Verein Borussia) is one of the most outstanding teams in the Bundesliga, the German first division soccer league. BVB won the UEFA Cup Winners Cup in 1966 and they were the first German team ever to win this European title. The team achieved their most successful year in 1997, winning both the UEFA Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup. BVB's other achievements include winning the German Championship six times and the DFB Cup (German Soccer Federation Cup) two times.

With this game, Artificial Life presents players with an authentic BVB soccer experience on the mobile phone. Players take command of the BVB team and can assemble their preferred starting line-up and choose an opponent from amongst several "fantasy" European teams. The game rules precisely follow professional soccer's real-life rules and regulations as well as situations such as fouls, offsides and substitutions. Several game modes are available such as single match, European tournament and complete season; all with the same overall goal which is to achieve as many trophies for Borussia Dortmund as possible!

Avatars for 22 of the BVB players were carefully modeled with special care and attention to the finest details in order to heighten the authentic look and feel of the game. Not only do the avatars mirror the look of the real team members, they are also each programmed with unique skills and strengths that are consistent with their abilities in real life. As a finishing touch for rounding out the authentic atmosphere in the game, the avatars are featured wearing the official BVB home jerseys of the current 09/10 season.
