Author W. T. Taylor Relives Childhood Memories In Alley Cats -- New Book Follows Notable Adventures of a Group of Teenage Boys Growing Up in the Same Neighborhood

BARTLETT, Ill., Oct. 19, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Readers are in for an unforgettable walk down memory lane as Xlibris announces the release of Alley Cats, authored by W. T. Taylor. The first installment of a four-book-series, this account takes readers on a nostalgic journey back to childhood years.

Although fictional, Alley Cats is loosely based on some of the actual occurrences that happened in Taylor's life as he grew up together with his friends in a pleasant neighborhood. The book retraces the summer of 1966, where times were simple yet fully packed with adventure for a group of boys aged ten to fifteen. They considered their district as a safe haven and a home to all their memorable experiences -- where a game of sand lot baseball starts the day; where alleys, tracks, factories, and apartment buildings became perfect playing grounds; and where unending mischief led them to meet and grow friendships. This book also shares the boys' numerous challenges and tells how they overcame wily adventures.

Written in a creative and jovial tone, Alley Cats also calls to mind best-loved music and TV shows during those decades. For more information on this book, log on to www.Xlibris.com.
