LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 23, 2009) - LSI - ScriptPimp.com, a screenplay analysis
website and full-service resource hub for screenwriters, producers, and
other film industry professionals, is now accepting submissions to their International
Feature Screenwriting and TV Writing
contests. Besides competing for over $100,000 in cash and prizes
collectively, each entrant will have their work read by a qualified judging
panel composed of literary agents, development executives, managers, and
producers. In 2008, Grand Prize winner Evan Daugherty landed a
major studio assignment with Warner Bros. as a direct result of winning the
ScriptPimp.com International Screenwriting Contest.
Founded in 2000 by Chadwick
Clough, ScriptPimp.com has
established itself as a leading online destination for the professional
screenwriting community. In 2008 Clough helped raise millions
in investment capital for an original ScriptPimp.com recommended project,
ScriptPimp.com International Screenwriting Contest.now looking for an early
2010 release date. Clough, originally a story consultant on the project,
served as executive producer after bringing the project to Darko
Entertainment and Infinity Media. ROGUES GALLERY stars Ellen Barkin, Ving
Rhames, Zach Galifianakis, Rob Corddry and Jeffrey Tambor.
In addition to their acclaimed script coverage and analysis services, ScriptPimp.com connects screen and
teleplay writers with studio and network development executives and
producers via their writing
contests,
workshops, a proprietary Writer's Database, and exclusive events and
offers presented with partners such as InkTip.com, Final Draft, and
Writer's Boot Camp.
Many past contest and workshop participants have gone on to see their work
optioned, sold, and/or produced.
Besides running ScriptPimp.com,
Clough has produced several feature films and lectured on screenwriting and entrepreneurship at
USC and UCLA. Despite his other interests, Clough's core mission has
remained the same: to assist aspiring writers with an array of resources to
improve their craft, and to provide professionals with the tools they need
to succeed in a highly competitive marketplace.
ScriptPimp.com was named one of
the "Top 50 Websites for Filmmakers" by Moviemaker magazine in August 2009.
