HCS Releases the 2010 Second Edition of the Most Influential Hispanics in Information Technology (TOP 100) Sponsored by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC)

DETROIT, Oct. 29, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today Heitzman's Communication Solutions (HCS) unveiled the 2010 second edition of TOP 100 which recognizes the nation's top Hispanic executives within the information technology industry. This year's TOP 100 were chosen out of more than 4000 IT professionals. The nominees were selected by an independent four-member panel of judges. A full version of the Most Influential Hispanics in IT can be viewed at www.hitecglobal.org -- sponsor.

The TOP 100 were selected based on a criteria that evaluated their individual achievements in the industry, professional level, scope of responsibility, position held in their companies, as well as their involvement in boards and diversity initiatives.

"It is with great pleasure, pride and honor that we recognize these accomplished individuals in the IT Global community. The TOP 100 list highlights their accomplishments and contributions to their respective businesses, communities and countries," said J. Alberto Yepez, HITEC chairman.

"In their respective roles, they create tremendous value for their organizations and add an unprecedented global perspective to their executive leadership teams and boards in these ever changing economic times," Yepez added.

"It has been an exciting year for Hispanics in this country. We are launching this publication on the heels of the appointment of the first Hispanic woman to the Supreme Court," said Sheena Heitzman of Heitzman's Communication Solutions and Publisher of the TOP 100 Most Influential Hispanics in Information Technology.

About HITEC

HITEC (Hispanic IT Executive Council) was founded by senior Hispanic IT executives who have built outstanding careers in information technology but realized that there were far too few Hispanics in the IT leadership role. With a strong desire and passion to make an impact within the Hispanic IT community by helping others reach the highest levels, HITEC was formed in late 2006. These national leaders include executives leading Fortune 500 corporations on both U.S. and global initiatives while others lead some of the largest Hispanic owned IT firms in the United States.
