A Nanny's Genuine Service -- Author Lois Chisholm Tells Heartwarming Tales of a Nanny That Becomes an Instrument of Love and Moral Concern

LEWISVILLE, Ark., Nov. 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Reminiscent of The Nanny Diaries, author Lois Chisholm weaves a collection of one nanny's stories, from one job, child, and family to the next. Released through Xlibris, Chisholm's Valley of Shadows takes readers into the life of Cassie, a compassionate nanny who, despite of personal scars, keeps a genuine concern for others.

Regardless of her physical imperfections, Cassie surprises everyone with a positive outlook in life and a sincere dedication to her job. She was raised by a loving aunt who taught her the best values, and throughout her life, she tries to instill what she has learned to each child she cares for.

However, with each job comes a different challenge. As a nanny, she discovers how parents often needed more guidance than the children. In this book, readers will witness Cassie as she fills the emptiness and longing in each child's life with deep love, not once compromising her moral beliefs for any job.

A poignant read, Valley of Shadows shows how a genuine moral concern for others can make even the darkest room light up with happiness and love. For more information on this book, log on to www.Xlibris.com.

About the Author

Lois Chisholm began writing love stories, children's stories, and music in her teens. Her daughters, Angie and Sarah, urged her to publish. Her first novel, Horsehead, (January 2009) was well received. However, it was too short, according to some readers. Her second, Valley of Shadows, reveals a deep love for proper moral decisions.

Although Lois, "can't remember just when she began writing down her thoughts," she uses events in life to enhance her writing. Of course, being a preacher's wife has given her ideas for characters and stories. She is a retired wedding consultant and bakery owner. She still loves baking and swapping recipes. She finds inspiration while dreaming or driving to worship. She invites the reader to feel the emotions of the characters.
