Comprehensive Sourcebook of Design Ideas for Remodeling -- The Essential Guide for Anyone Thinking About Making Changes to Their Home

COMMACK, N.Y., Nov. 9, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Xlibris, the leading print-on-demand self-publishing services provider, announces today the release of Designs for Remodeling Your Home: Bumps, Bays, Additions & More, a new book about remodeling homes authored by nationally recognized architect Jerold Axelrod, recipient of multiple awards for excellence in residential design.

The text is a comprehensive guide that offers architectural designs and tips to homeowners who intend to remodel their homes. Like both its predecessors -- Architectural Plans for Adding On or Remodeling and Time Saver Concise, Plans for Adding On or Remodeling -- authored by Mr. Axelrod and published by McGraw Hill, this book is unique in that it provides the user a veritable potpourri of hundreds of practical plans for remodeling a home. With more than a thousand illustrations, and over three hundred different plans, it has something for every situation that any homeowner or architect can encounter.

In addition to its sound designs, this release is also an encyclopedia of ideas -- both graphic and written. Its first three chapters are organized to help the reader analyze needs, evaluate a home for change, and develop a program. The remaining chapters discuss the specific designs Axelrod identified, the varied prototype shapes for successful additions, what not to do, and much more.

Designs for Remodeling Your Home: Bumps, Bays, Additions & More is enrolled in Xlibris' Bookstore Returnability Program, which gives booksellers the convenient option of returning excess stocks through Ingram Distribution. For more information, log on to www.Xlibris.com.
