Capcom(R) Realigns European Mobile Studio to Support Growing Smartphone Business

Company Partners With Gameloft for European Distribution Deal


LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 23, 2009) - Capcom® Mobile, a leading developer and publisher of mobile games, today announced a strategic realigning of the company's European mobile operations. Effective immediately, the Capcom's European mobile studio will focus exclusively on the development of games for smartphone platforms, including Apple iPhone™, Blackberry, Palm webOS™, Windows® Mobile and Android™.

Additionally, Capcom has struck a European distribution deal with Gameloft® to publish six upcoming mobile titles: Resident Evil®: Uprising, Street Fighter® Alpha, Super Puzzle Fighter™ II Turbo, Lost Planet™ 2, Dead Rising™ 2 and Where's Wally 2. The games are expected to release in 2010.

Capcom's UK studio is expected to produce 10 - 12 titles for smartphone platforms within the next 12 months, beginning with the classic arcade shooter 1942 for iPhone. Additional smartphone development as well as development for North American and European standard devices will continue out of Capcom's studio in Toronto, Canada.
