About the Author

Aunt Grace was born in the early 1940s in western North Carolina. Despite having little money and living with inconveniences, she and her family remained intact, and during those years, the author developed a love for the mountains and nature. As a child, she watched and listened to everything that happened around her. Somehow, she mentally computed every person, tree, flower, mule, horse and cow -- each with a distinct personality.

At the age of nine, Aunt Grace started reading long stories through her mother's books. Subsequently, she started writing short pieces to read to others and always scored an A+ on them in school. The author sincerely believes that Earth is a schoolroom where people learn many lessons about valuing all life and its different forms.
