New Suite of Digital Transmitters, Receivers and Repeaters Opens Door to Large End Markets
| Source: Law Enforcement Associates
RALEIGH, NC--(Marketwire - December 9, 2009) - Law Enforcement Associates Corporation (LEA)
(OTCBB : LAWE ), a leading U.S.-based developer and manufacturer of
electronic surveillance equipment, today introduced its PDT Digital Audio
product offering, a new line of radio frequency (RF) transmitters,
receivers and repeaters designed for the law enforcement industry.
Jay Becker, LEA's sales manager, said, "Our PDT Digital Audio suite
represents a significant technological advancement for LEA, and allows us
to target a broad range of federal agencies, task forces and high profile
law enforcement organizations. We believe this product line establishes LEA
as the only U.S.-based manufacturer of a fully digital audio product
offering. Given the U.S. Government's emphasis on procuring American made
products, as well as our very competitive price point and our extensive
menu of disguised digital transmission devices, we believe we have
established many important advantages over our competitors."
Becker added, "Many law enforcement agencies are moving to digital audio
technology from the legacy analog format. We therefore believe there is a
large and untapped market opportunity that we intend to aggressively
pursue."
Mark White, senior vice president of technical operations, said the
Company's digital product offering provides a range of benefits to both LEA
and its customers. "The digital format is less susceptible to interference
and allows for more secure audio transmission."
White said independent labs are completing the final phases of compliance
testing on the products, and the Company expects to begin taking orders for
the PDT line next month.
