Lappland Goldminers AB plans listing on NASDAQ OMX Nordiska Börs and strengthens the Group Management Team with a new CFO

The Board of Directors of Lappland Goldminers AB has decided to
commence the process of applying for a listing of its shares on
NASDAQ OMX Nordiska Börs during 2010. At present, Lappland Goldminers
AB is traded on First North Premier.

Ulf Ericsson, Chairman of the Board: "The future listing  of the
company's shares on NASDAQ OMX Nordiska Börs is a step for Lappland
Goldminers' development towards its goal to become a leading gold
producing mining company in Scandinavia. We estimate that a stock
exchange listing will improve the chances to broaden the
institutional ownership of the Company and give us a better access to
the capital market. This will be valuable and give the Company a
better flexibility in the continued development of the main mining
project Fäboliden",

As a step in the listing process, and in order to further strengthen
the competence of the Company concerning financing, reporting and
market communication, Lappland Goldminers AB has appointed Anders
Haker as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Anders Haker will be
responsible for the the financial department of the Group and be part
of the Group Management Team. He will assume his position as CFO at
Lappland Goldminers AB on January 4, 2010.

appoint a person with such long experience and qualifications from
listed companies within the mining industry as Anders and we are

Lappland Goldminers will face in the coming years".

Anders Haker  has  more than  20  year's professional  experience  in
accounting and  financing. He  is  a graduate  of the  University  of
Uppsala and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration. Anders Haker
was formerly Senior  Vice President and  Chief Financial Officer  for
Lundin Mining Corporation and has  previously held the same  position
for  Boliden  AB.  Anders  Haker  has  extensive  experience  in  the
financial field  including  accounting, debt  and  equity  financing,
stock listings, investor relations and financial reporting.
