Salamon Group Inc. Files Revolutionary New Patent for Portable Power for Handheld Devices

Utilizes Solar Backup Light (Powered) Energy Source

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 10, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Salamon Group Inc. (OTCBB:SLMU), a leading designer of next generation electronic products and systems, announced today that the company is pleased to provide existing and future shareholders of SLMU our most recent update on the company's current activities. The Company has filed a new patent designed to increase and provide additional power to handheld portable devices.

The patent and the strength of the technology is the rechargeable solar light cell. It will be designed as a portable device recharged with the use of a solar cell technology. The company has termed their new technology the "Power Stick". The device itself can be recharged through a USB port on a computer or via the solar light cell and resembles a USB stick-like device.

The light does not need to be source specific, meaning the light source can be manmade or solar. In the event a portable device such as a cell phone, iPod, or Blackberry runs short of power, this device may boost the power for a short period of time. This will allow the user to continue to use the device.

"SLMU is very excited regarding the potential applications for this new power source and the patent protection will give us the ability to commercialize the technology for mainstream devices," commented John Salamon, CEO of Salamon Group Inc. "This new technology provides an interim energy source for battery operated portable devices by using light-cell technology."

Salamon Group is publicly traded under the symbol SLMU.OB
