A Survivor's Poetry Collection -- Arlene Maybloom Shares Some or Her Life's Highs and Lows in Her New Book

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J., Dec. 16, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A collection of poetry reflecting a life of a survivor awaits readers as Xlibris announces the release of Sunshine on a Cloudy Day. Penned by Arlene Maybloom, this book is filled with raw emotions and sincere thoughts of a woman who has experienced the best and worst in life.

Early in life, the author was blessed to have met her husband, give birth to two children, and have four grandchildren. However, the biggest trial in her life was about to happen. She suffered from multiple illnesses for over seven years, and this phase taught her the harsh side of life. During the highs and lows in her life, she found that she was able to express her thoughts through poetry. Maintaining a positive outlook, she was able to complete her collection of poems, Sunshine on a Cloudy Day.

"And now here I am, a new life with so much in it and so much taken away. 'Life is Tough' but with strength, peace and love we can all be survivors," says Maybloom.

During the past seven years, the author has survived from a mini stroke, ovarian cancer, and a double pneumonia with many medical complications necessitating a medically induced coma for a couple of months.
