S.A.G. Solarstrom AG implements 9.7 MWp project for GPR Global Power
Resources AG in Apulia

Freiburg, December 22, 2009. S.A.G. Solarstrom AG (German security
identification number: 702 100, ISIN: DE0007021008), Freiburg, is
installing altogether 10 photovoltaic systems with a total output of 9.7
MWp in the South Italian province of Brindisi for GPR Global Power
Resources. It is estimated that the ground-mounted systems will be
connected to grid in April 2010.

The project consists of nine ground-mounted systems each with 999 kWp and
one system with 710.4 kWp, making a total output of 9.7 MWp. Construction
will start this year, and grid connection is planned in April.
Polycrystalline modules from Yingli Green Energy as well as inverters from
SMA will be used.

GPR Global Resources Ltd. is a Zurich based company active in the purchase
of renewable energy plants located throughout Western Europe. GPR's
investment strategy is to source alternative energy plants delivering
attractive returns for its investors through the development of strategic
partners with operators at all stages of the value chain. GPR has developed
considerable expertise in the structuring and execution of cross-border
acquisitions. GPR is planning the acquisition and management of renewable
energy plants for their investors, with a total output of around 2 GWp.

Connection to high-voltage grid

To facilitate faster and safer grid connection of the systems, S.A.G.
Solarstrom AG is participating, via the local project company, in the
construction of a transformer substation that will enable direct connection
of the systems and feed-in of electricity to the high-voltage grid. It is
planned to sell the transformer substation to the Italian energy company
Enel SpA after conclusion of the project. Although Italy is ranked as one
of the strongest growing European markets in the sector, due to a high
level of solar irradiation and a specific yield of over 1,300 kWh per kWp,
many photovoltaic projects fail due to the infrastructure of the grid
connection. There are very few medium-voltage power grids in Italy, which
means that grid connection is currently the biggest challenge for
photovoltaic system construction in Italy. By participating in the
construction of the transformer substation, S.A.G. Solarstrom AG has found
a sensible solution to this problem which can be implemented quickly and
efficiently.

'Our Italian subsidiary employs experienced photovoltaic specialists who
are familiar with all the approval procedures as well as the specific
challenges of the market', explains Dr. Karl Kuhlmann, CEO of S.A.G.
Solarstrom AG. 'We see this as a basic requirement for developing the
enormous market potential in Italy.'
