"Online marketing revenues for the third quarter of 2009 were RMB1,278.2 million ($187.2 million), representing a 39.2% increase from the corresponding period in 2008. BIDU had about 216,000 active online marketing customers in the third quarter of 2009, representing an 11.3% increase from the corresponding period in 2008 and a 6.4% increase from the previous quarter. Revenue per online marketing customer for the third quarter was approximately RMB5,900 ($864), a 25.5% increase from the corresponding period in 2008 and a 9.3% increase from the previous quarter.
"BIDU recently announced it has entered into a strategic partnership with China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd. to provide wireless search for China Unicom's 3G mobile subscribers. Under the agreement, BIDU's wireless search service will be embedded in China Unicom's 3G mobile phone modules...BIDU will also provide search functions within China Unicom's wireless Internet sites to service the carrier's users."
