COPsync's Nationwide In-Car Information Sharing Network Continues to Expand

Company Announces 9 Additional Law Enforcement Agencies Utilizing Its Real-Time Information Sharing Software

CANYON LAKE, Texas, Jan. 19, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB:COYN), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announces the installation of the COPsync software at nine additional Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the State of Texas.  COPsync recently completed the installation of its real-time information sharing solution, COPsync(TM), for the County of Wichita Sheriff’s Office, County of Wichita District Attorney Investigators Office, County of Rains Sheriff’s Office, County of McMullen Sheriff’s Office, City of Lindale Police Department, City of Kyle Police Department, County of Burnet Sheriff’s Office, County of Burnet Constable Precinct #3 and County of Burnet Constable Precinct #4. These agencies now gain valuable access to real-time law enforcement information as well as the ability to share critical information at the point of incident as crimes are reported and investigated.

“Utilizing COPsync has brought a lot of efficiencies to our Sheriff’s office,” commented Captain Archie Hollingsworth, Burnet County Sheriff’s Office. “The ability to get state and national criminal database query returns directly to the patrol car has eliminated the heavy traffic dispatch overloads of the past. The ability to closely monitor patrol cars in the field via the COPsync Patrol Vehicle Locater application allows me to better monitor what is going on in the field and I can easily access the location of an officer in an emergency situation. COPsync has made our officers in the field more productive and safer by working in a real- time data sharing environment.”

According to Chief Deputy Kurt Fischer of the Rains County Sheriff’s Office, “The COPsync system allows my officers to create and share information throughout our department in a real-time setting. There are 2 neighboring agencies on COPsync and of these all departments can now communicate and share vital departmental information quickly and efficiently. One of the many features we benefit from is the crash diagram builder on the Crash Report Module. I can now complete the crash report down to the actual crash diagram while remaining at the crash site. Another feature that has been very beneficial is the COPsync GPS and Mapping capabilities. I can now track and monitor all officer vehicles in the field. On one occasion, I was able to locate and find an officer who needed assistance but had lost all other forms of communication from the field. COPsync has brought much efficiency to the department while making the officer in the field safer.”

“As more Law Enforcement Agencies join our technology platform, the ability of criminals to seek shelter in neighboring jurisdictions decreases,” stated COPsync CEO, Russell Chaney. “COPsync provides an information collection, distribution and sharing portal so that when a subscribing officer requests information they receive it in real-time directly in the patrol vehicle. Sharing critical information at the point of incident will reduce crime rates, increase officer efficiency, and aid in solving open cases. All of these agencies now on the system can be notified in real-time when any other COPsync Agency experiences a serious crime or needs assistance immediately.''
