BI SICAV New Emerging Markets Equities(ISIN: LU0304976946):
Best Fund in the Global Frontier Markets Category in
2009

Luxembourg, 21.01.2010 - A fantastic result for BankInvest's New Frontier
Fund
BI SICAV New Emerging Markets Equities (ISIN: LU0304976946). With an asset
value increase of 52.9% in 2009, the Fund topped the ranking for its
comparative group. The Fund, which comprises investments in new emerging
markets - so-called frontier markets -, exceeded all comparative indices;
it outperformed the MSCI Frontier Markets Index, for example, by just under
50%.

Investments in new emerging markets have been one of the main areas of
activity of the BankInvest Group for many years. The Scandinavian asset
manager operates in these countries via representatives, for example, in
Vietnam, Egypt and Mexico.

Investments in global frontier markets in 2009 turned out to be even more
successful for BankInvest than those in conventional emerging markets. This
was despite global frontier markets doing rather worse on the whole with an
average performance of 8% over the course of the year than traditional
emerging markets and industrial nations.

Thomas Vester Nielsen, whose has held the post of Manager of the New
Emerging Markets Fund since 2007, sets great store by an active management
approach: 'We bought undervalued companies with a strategically good
position in their respective market environment in good time. After the
situation on the stock market improved again in 2009, they all recovered
and their value increased accordingly. We also paid more attention to small
and mid caps because they were expected to produce higher value increases
than blue chips.'

The Portfolio Manager and his team travel constantly around the region. In
2009 alone, the investment team visited more than 40 countries.

The wide country spread for investments in global frontier markets
primarily reduces the risk. Worldwide allocation of investments helps to
cushion risks which can potentially lead to excessive market fluctuations
caused by local crises. The Fund invests, for example, in Kazakhstan,
Nigeria, Oman, Egypt, Turkmenistan, Qatar, Romania, Mauritius, Abu Dhabi
and numerous other countries.

At present, the five largest positions in the Fund include companies such
as KazMunaiGas, Guaranty Trust Bank, Oman Telecommunications, Banc Muscat
and Eastern Tobacco.

Compliance

The BankInvest Group is authorised by the Danish Financial Supervisory
Authority (Finanstilsynet) which attends to financial regulation in
Denmark. The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority is an institution under
the responsibility of the Minister for Economic Affairs.

Past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance. Emerging
markets tend to be more volatile than more established stock markets and
therefore have greater risk. As a result, exchange rate movements may cause
the value of investments to decrease or increase.

SICAV New Emerging Markets (BI Frontier) is the international institutional
version of the Danish retail fund BI New Emerging Markets.

Anti-Money-laundering

BankInvest believes that compliance with anti-money-laundering requirements
on financial institutions is of the utmost importance. As a firm with
clients around the world, we have been working closely with all our
business partners to ensure that we comply with all anti-money-laundering
efforts wherever we operate.
