The award recognized Gameday for excellence in its transportation management services during Super Bowl XLIII. The black-tie awards ceremony, which recognizes the innovation and skills of organizations that make sports events happen, took place Nov. 10 at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
Gameday's patent-pending Click and Parksm online parking reservation system, which allows event attendees to reserve and pay for their parking online and provides driving directions that are coordinated with local roadway capacities expediting travel times, allowed over 12,500 Super Bowl XLIII staff and spectators to arrive in evenly distributed traffic patterns. As part of its event planning process, Gameday partnered with the Florida Department of Transportation, Public Safety agencies and City of Tampa Engineers to ensure that associated road closures minimally affected local residents and out of town guests.
