BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 27, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is honored to announce that Greg Lowe, CEO of Syringa Networks in Boise, has agreed to be this year's Light The Night walk leader by serving as our Corporate Walk Chair. In this role Mr. Lowe will serve as the driving force to bring awareness to the cause and to enhance local corporate participation in the Walk. Idaho businesses can become involved in this year's walk by forming walk teams, selling paper balloons at retail locations and/or committing to corporate sponsorship.
Mr. Lowe was asked to partner with LLS based on Syringa Networks history of successful community outreach with organizations such as the Special Olympics and the Idaho Foodbank. Syringa Networks has been a proud sponsor of the Light The Night Walk for the past two years, including a corporate walk team that helped raise money for cancer research and patient services. "We are very excited to have Mr. Lowe and Syringa Networks partner with us to make this year's Light The Night a success," says Chelsea Young, LLS Campaign Manager.
This year's goal for the Idaho Light The Night Walk is $180,000.00. These funds will be raised through a combination of individual donations, corporate sponsorships and walk-teams.
