COPsync, Inc. Continues Rapid Installation of Its Real-Time Information Sharing Software

Company Reports Six New Installs for Texas Law Enforcement Agencies

CANYON LAKE, Texas, Feb. 1, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- COPsync, Inc. (OTCBB:COYN), a software technology provider to law enforcement and emergency service professionals, announces the installation of its COPsync software at six Law Enforcement Agencies within the State of Texas. COPsync recently completed the installation of its real-time information sharing solution, COPsync™, for the City of Granite Shoals Police Department, County of Live Oak Sheriff’s Office, City of Memphis Police Department, City of Emory Police Department, City of Stamford Police Department and City of Quitman Police Department.

Chief Jehromie Penrod, of the Memphis City Police Department, states, “Acquiring the COPsync system has given us the ability to create a law enforcement network structure that is based on the ability to share vital information quickly, efficiently, and in a real-time setting. Officers are now able to receive their State and National criminal database queries directly to their patrol car via COPsync, freeing up the dispatcher for other duties. COPsync has allowed our department to become much more efficient. Traffic stops that normally took 15 minutes to complete are now completed in less than 5 minutes.  This helps reduce the officer’s exposure to safety hazards while increasing the officer patrol times in the community.”

COPsync is an integrated software product that provides a real-time, in-car, nationwide information-sharing network for law enforcement officers. The software includes data collection interfaces designed to eliminate handwritten police reports, expediting the paperwork process to allow officers to do their job more efficiently. Via a laptop computer or hand-held device, the user is able to immediately identify criminals, communicate with other officers, and access life saving and mission critical information. The technology is complete and robust, allowing installing departments to turn paperless and streamlined.

"With the COPsync technology, our officers will benefit from the safety provided by real-time information sharing and our community will benefit from more efficient and proactive police protection,” commented Quitman Police Chief, Kelly Cole. “By implementing COPsync, we will be sharing information we collect with other area agencies in close proximity to our county such as the Van Police Department, Lindale Police Department and numerous other agencies in Northeast Texas already on the system.”

COPsync, Inc. CEO Russell Chaney stated, “The importance of sharing offense and criminal data in real-time cannot be understated. Our agencies coming aboard are ecstatic that they will now be sharing information with surrounding agencies, yet in reality they are sharing information with every agency on the system regardless of the County, Region or State for that matter.  Our dedicated staff has done an extraordinary job training and educating the new law enforcement agencies that are joining our system. The response from the agencies that are up and running on our system has been extremely positive.”
