New Head of Region Stockholm appointed 

Björn Elfstrand has been appointed the new Head of Region Stockholm at Swedbank.
 Björn Elfstrand currently serves as CFO and Head of Staffs within Swedish
Banking at Swedbank and has a long experience in the Swedish banking market.
Over the past years, Björn Elfstrand has held a number of top positions at
Swedbank, including Head of Private Market and Head of Product Area Payments.

- Björn Elfstrand has a thorough knowledge of the banking market in Sweden in
general and Swedbank´s retail market in particular.  I am confident that he will
make use of his broad knowledge and experience from his previous positions, says
Kjell Hedman, Head of Swedish Banking, Swedbank.

Björn Elfstrand will take up his position by April 1. He succeeds Magnus
Gagner-Geeber, who has been appointed the Head of Large Corporates within the
new business area Large Corporates & Institutions.
