Neah Power Takes Green Energy to Asia With New Asian Sales Team


BOTHELL, Wash. and BANGKOK, Thailand, Feb. 18, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Neah Power Systems (OTCBB:NPWZ) www.neahpower.com, the company developing fuel cell based renewable energy solutions, taking advantage of the arrival of the long-awaited ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) as of January 1, 2010, which eliminates tariffs for almost 99% of all goods and services traded among the 10-member ASEAN bloc, has retained two technically and highly-educated sales representatives to present the Company's patented, renewable, pollution-free, methanol-powered fuel cells to industry, consumers, the military, vehicles, schools, the hospitality industry, and to governments to power rural villages with clean near-continuous energy throughout Asia. ASEAN is now an economic force that could rival China, India, Brazil and Russia, with a combined GDP estimated at US$1.5 trillion, and a consumer market of almost 600 million people.

Dr. Pichet Limsuwan received a Bachelor's Degree and Ph.D. degree in Physics in 1969 and 1978, and joined the Department of Physics, King Mongkut's University of Technology, Thonburi, Thailand (KMUTT) immediately thereafter. He was trained in the USA and graduated with a Ph.D. in Optics. He is currently the Associate Dean for Research, Faculty of Science at KMUTT. His current research area of interest includes laser technology, thin film technology, gemology and nanotechnology.

Dilok Hemyakorn was Deputy Head of Electrical Power Station Design Division of both the Engineering Department and Transmission System, respectively, for the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) from 1978 to 2005. He was previously employed by the Bangkok Metropolitan's Electrical Transmission system, as the Head of System Analysis and Project Management. In 1994-1995, he was the Head of High Power Electrical Station and Controlling System, and Head of the Transmission System Project and Planning Department of the Grid Connection System of the Thailand-Malaysia Project.
