Jennie Garth knows that it can be a dinnertime struggle to get picky eaters to touch the vegetables on their plates, and strives to teach her own kids important lessons about good nutrition and foster an appreciation for vegetables. Jennie joined forces with the makers of Hidden Valley® Salad Dressings and the Love Your Veggies™ campaign to host the "Veggie Central" in Manhattan on March 11th.
"Veggie Central" featured hands-on recipe demos and gave kids the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the garden, while learning that veggies can be fun and delicious from plant to plate. Fourth and fifth grade students were invited to partake in an exclusive opportunity to meet Jennie, to prepare veggie recipes and to learn about the importance of incorporating vegetables for a well-balanced diet. The event also featured many veggie-focused activities, including veggie trivia, ranch fountains, a veggie forest and plenty of fresh vegetables to snack on.
