GSN Launches Search for Mayor of Dumbville

New Facebook Application Sends Players to Dumbville to Boost Brainpower and Compete Against Friends for Prizes

SANTA MONICA, CA--(Marketwire - April 1, 2010) - Want to show that you are smarter than all of your friends -- something you have always suspected but never have been able to prove? Get ready for ego-smashing, cranium-crashing fun as GSN (Game Show Network) launches its first social media application of 2010: Dumbville. Available on Facebook, Dumbville allows you to taunt your closest friends and prove to your mother that you really have made something of yourself. GSN's Dumbville pits players against their friends in a relentless pursuit to see who is the smartest (or more importantly, dumbest) within their social graph.

Dumbville players tackle quirky questions -- how many horns do 5 unicorns have? Identify Barack Obama as a baby. What is the boiling point of water? -- to rise through the ranks from Village Idiot to Mayor of Dumbville. Along the way, they'll win Oodles, GSN's winnable, spendable virtual currency, which can be redeemed for sweepstakes entries and prizes on GSN.com.

"I can identify Barack Obama, but counting unicorns' horns and trying to arrange sheep from smallest to largest gets me every time," said Peter Blacklow, EVP of GSN Digital. "As one of the dumbest executives in the games industry, I'm confident I'll excel at Dumbville."

When gamers install the Dumbville game application, they automatically establish a relationship with GSN.com and begin collecting Oodles. Players win Oodles by passing Dumbville levels, and also when their friends slip up. Each time a friend fails a level, GSN awards Oodles to their Dumbville-playing friends.

Dumbville is the latest in a line of social media applications developed by GSN, which also includes CATCH-21 for the iPhone and Facebook platforms. The company's digital business is currently organized around three core objectives: cash games, hosted on the WorldWinner.com property; GSN Labs, the innovation engine for new games, including Dumbville, and expanded platform development; and GSN Digital Solutions, GSN's online ad and games network, and provider of Oodles virtual points program.
