Integral Systems Announces Transition of WGS SV-3 Satellite Operations to the CCS-C System

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. and COLUMBIA, Md., April 12, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integral Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISYS), today announced the on-schedule handover of satellite bus operations for the third Wideband Global SATCOM Space Vehicle (WGS SV-3) to the Command and Control System – Consolidated (CCS-C) baseline. This is the final satellite in WGS Block I to be successfully transitioned into the CCS-C baseline.

"This handover milestone is the culmination of several years of design, development, and implementation with respect to the CCS-C baseline to provide WGS support," said Jeff Benesh, Integral Systems' Vice President of Air Force Programs. "Our entire team is thrilled to be a key participant in the activation of a major enhancement to the Warfighter's communications capability."

CCS-C has supported the legacy MILSATCOM programs since 2003. The program has continued to evolve through the integration of new MILSATCOM programs. The CCS-C baseline easily supports multiple programs with varying requirements as demonstrated by the support of the legacy Defense Satellite Communication System (DSCS) and Military Strategic and Tactical Relay (Milstar) programs and the addition of the new WGS program.

Integral Systems is the prime contractor for the CCS-C program, which provides an upgraded capability to command and control the Air Force's communication satellites, including the DSCS, Milstar, WGS, and Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellites.

The results contained in this submission were generated in whole, or in part, through work supporting the MILSATCOM Systems Wing (MCSW).

CCS-C provides consolidated MILSATCOM tracking, telemetry and command (TT&C) capability for 14th Air Force, 50th Space Wing launch and early orbit, on orbit and anomaly resolution space operations.

The Integral Systems family of companies will be exhibiting at the 2010 National Space Symposium, booth 408.
