Schuff Steel -- Atlantic Starts Steel Fabrication on Marlins Ballpark

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - April 13, 2010) -  Schuff Steel-Atlantic, Inc., a subsidiary of Schuff International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SHFK), a leading family of steel companies providing fully integrated steel construction services, has started steel fabrication on the fixed roof portion of the Marlins' Ballpark. Schuff's contract includes fabricating approximately 2,900 tons of steel. Schuff is also providing steel services for the ballpark's catwalks, video display boards and main scoreboard. Approximately ninety percent of the steel is recycled and being fabricated at the company's Orlando steel plant.

These include El Champion Painting & Finishes Drywall Corp, Omega Steel Erectors, Inc., RJR Construction, The Finest Towing, A&B Hardware & Lumber, and Georges Welding Services Inc.

The facility is owned by Miami-Dade County. The 17-acre project is located on the historic Orange Bowl site in the Little Havana section of Miami and will have a natural grass playing field. The stadium will be able to accommodate 37,000 spectators and includes approximately 3,000 club seats and 50 private suites. The ballpark is scheduled to open in April 2012.

Schuff recently completed steel fabrication and erection on Amway Center, an 875,000 square-foot multi-purpose arena in Orlando, Florida. Other major arenas and stadiums that Schuff has been involved with include University of Phoenix Stadium, AZ; Invesco Field at Mile High, CO; Chase Field, AZ; Sprint Arena, MO; and Folsom Field Expansion, CO.
