The firm's newest location is at 1133 Connecticut Avenue, halfway between Dupont Circle and The White House. The firm currently has offices in Hartford, Stamford, Greenwich and Lakeville, Connecticut.
Working in the new Washington, D.C. office at the start are six lawyers, all formerly with Hogan & Hartson in Washington, led by partner James P. Ruggeri, long-time national counsel for complex insurance coverage matters for The Hartford Financial Services Group and its affiliates. The other partners in the group are Edward B. Parks, II and Joshua D. Weinberg. James G. Christiansen joins Shipman & Goodwin as counsel, and Tara J. Plochocki and Michele L. Backus join the firm as associates.
