Supernet Limited Partners With Integral Systems to Provide Remote Site Network Management and Monitoring of GSM Backhaul Network to Large Service Provider in Pakistan

Newpoint Technologies to Supply Its COMPASS Network Management Solution to More Than 50 Remote GSM Sites

SINGAPORE and COLUMBIA, Md., June 17, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integral Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISYS) announced today at CommunicAsia 2010 that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Newpoint Technologies, has signed an agreement with Supernet Limited, Pakistan's leading satellite service provider, to provide a Network Management System to support a large VSAT-based GSM backhaul network being deployed by Supernet for one of the leading regional GSM service providers operating in Pakistan.

Supernet will provide GSM backhaul services over satellite for a network consisting of more than 50 remote sites spread over the mountainous northern areas of Pakistan. The services will enable the GSM operator to extend its mobile services to the remote areas of Pakistan that are un-reachable through any other transmission medium. The network will utilize Newpoint Technologies' award winning COMPASS and TrueNorth Network Management software to provide centralized management of the network assets.

The COMPASS product will interface with the equipment at the remote sites, and using the advanced and highly efficient replication process, centralize all the data via in-band satellite channel to allow NOC operators to remotely manage the equipment. Compass will allow the operators to identify alarms at the remote sites and recover from any equipment failures without necessarily having to dispatch a technician to the site. In the event of a hard failure, the technicians will have the latest alarm information to identify the cause of failure and be able to send the technician with the proper equipment to recover the site without having to make a second trip.

"This application is a text book example of how COMPASS can help network operators significantly reduce the cost of managing their networks," said Wally Martland, President of Newpoint Technologies. "Our proven network management and monitoring solution provides operators with the information they need to remotely recover from failures, or – if the issue cannot be addressed remotely – send a technician to the site with the information needed to fix the problem in one visit."

With over 16 years of experience, Supernet has deployed many satellite-based networks including three very large GSM backhaul networks operating in Pakistan. Supernet also operates a shared IP-based VSAT service in the country.

"We are extremely satisfied with our association with Newpoint Technologies," said Mr. Imran Malik, CEO, Supernet Limited. "Newpoint has experience in providing management solutions for networks very similar to our customers' application. We are looking forward to a long-term relationship with Newpoint."

"Working with Supernet, we have a partner who shares our common goal of providing world-class systems to the market. In addition, they provide a local presence to our customers in Pakistan with expertise in integrating and supporting the COMPASS product," Martland continued.
